MPO is MT series compact design with small size and high density, multi-channel is the most prominent feature, it is widely applied to the CATV, Multimedia, Gigabit Ethernet, active device interface, data processing networks, telecommunication networks, asynchronous Transmission Mode (ATM). MPO patch cord can be ribbon fiber cable or breakout bundle fiber cable, its high precision guide pins make it can align precisely.
MPO/MTP is a high dense pre-terminated fiber optical connection system and it is generally used in three areas.
1, Data center require high dense cabling
2, FTTB, optical fiber to the building
3, internal connector in fiber equipment such as ODN, 40G and 100G SFP.
MTP/MPO fiber optic patch cords are multi fiber assemblies. Unlike simplex or duplex patch cord, there are multi connections in one MTP/MPO fiber optic jumper, for example, 4 fibers, 8 fibers, 12 fibers, etc. Typical MTP/MPO fiber optic assemblies is MPO-MPO, MTP/MPO to 8 LC, MTP/MPO to 12 MT-RJ and so on. MTP/MPO fiber optic patch cords are also available by single mode and multimode, PC and APC polish.
